Official: Lietkabelis will compete in 7 Days EuroCup
2016 07 25Next season Lietkabelis Panevezys will compete not only in Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) but also in 7 Days EuroCup.
General Manager of Lietkabelis Mantas Ignatavicius send all the necessary documents to the organizers of the competition and got a confirmation that Lietkabelis Club is accepted to compete in 7 Days Eurocup. Panevezys team will replace one of four teams which withdraw from this tournament earlier this month.
BC Lietkabelis also had a place in FIBA EuroCup qualification round where they had to play against team from Turkey Instambul Buyukcekmece.
We are very excited, that Euroleague believed in our growing organisation and offered us to join 7 Days EuroCup. 7 Days EuroCup is the second strongest international club tournament in Europe where we will play at least ten games. Panevezys city will host many strong teams from Europe and due to that our next goal is to build a strong team which would properly represent Panevezys city and Lithuania. – said M.Ignatavicius.
Lietkabelis will compete in group A against Nižnij Novgorod, Las Palmo Gran Canaria, Zagreb Cedevita, Zeliona Guros Stelme and Athene AEK.
